Florida Man's $50 Gamble Pays Off Big with $1 Million Win

A man in Florida became a millionaire when he bought a special $50 lottery ticket at a corner store.

The Florida Lottery announced that a man named Antonio Redden, who is 56 years old and lives in Sanford, won a big prize of $1 million from a special scratch-off game called ‘$1,000,000 A YEAR FOR LIFE SPECTACULAR.’ He went to the Lottery’s office in Tampa to claim his prize.

Instead of getting the money in smaller amounts over many years, Redden decided to receive it all at once as a lump-sum payment, which was $640,000.

The store where Redden bought the lucky ticket, called Kevin’s Corner Store, will get a $2,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket.

This special $50 scratch-off game started in February, and it offers two big prizes of $1 million every year for life, along with 234 other prizes of $1 million.
