Tragic Discovery: Inmate Found Deceased in Cook County Jail Cell
Michael O’Connor, 33, was discovered unconscious in his cell within the Residential Treatment Unit of the Cook County Jail.
Around 4:25 p.m., jail officials discovered him in this condition, forcing authorities to take quick action.

Efforts to Save, But Unsuccessful
Despite timely assistance by jail security and medical professionals, O’Connor remained unresponsive.
Paramedics responded quickly and transported him to Mount Sinai Hospital.
Unfortunately, despite all efforts to resuscitate him, he was pronounced dead shortly after arriving at the hospital.
O’Connor was facing serious charges and was being jailed on a $100,000 bond.
