Christmas Eve Tragedy: Dodge County Man Killed in Laurens County Car Crash

A car accident that occurred in Laurens County resulted in the death of a man from Dodge County, as reported by the Georgia State Patrol.

On the evening of Christmas Eve, they say it took place at approximately 9:40 p.m.

According to the news statement, a Chevrolet Camaro from 2016 was going south on State Route 257 when it happened to cross the center line of the road. The location was reportedly not too far from Davis Road.

According to the report, the Camaro then drove east off the roadway, flipped over many times, and collided with a culvert that was located next to a driveway.

Michael Dewayne Brown, 52 years old, was found by the authorities to be unresponsive and suffering from terrible injuries when they arrived.

Brown was transported by Laurens County Emergency Medical Services to Fairview Park Hospital, where he ultimately died to his injuries.

At the moment of the collision, Brown was the only person who was located in the vehicle.
