In the early hours of Sunday morning, a terrible fire spread through an auto sale in Denton County, setting about 60 cars on fire.

Emergency responders from Denton County Emergency Services District 1 were alerted around 1:30 a.m. about a potential fire along McPherson Drive in Justin.

Fire Breaks Out at Car Auction Site

As they rushed toward the reported location, responders spotted a towering plume of smoke and flames visible from the I-35W highway.

Arriving at the scene, they found multiple vehicles engulfed in flames within the expansive auction facility.

Firefighting Efforts Lasted 90 Minutes

Efforts to douse the flames lasted around 90 minutes, involving teams from Flower Mound, Justin, Roanoke, Tarrant County, and Denton fire departments.

Their collaborative response aimed to contain the blaze that had spread across the auction lot.

Additionally, specialized assistance from All American Towing employed heavy machinery to relocate vehicles and create barriers, halting the fire’s advance.
