One Dead In Early Friday Scott County Road Incident

In Blue Grass, there was an early Friday morning crash that resulted in one fatality, according to a news release from SCSO.

On January 5, at around 6:12 a.m., a call was received by the Scott Emergency Communications Center concerning a single-vehicle collision close to the 11700 block of Coon Hunters Road, a paved two-lane road situated east of Blue Grass and north of Buffalo.

Authorities conducted an investigation and found that a white 2018 Nissan Sentra was driving down the road in a northerly direction when it fell off at the start of a curve.

After that, the car went sideways through a ditch, struck a barrier, and took off into the air. After hitting a tree, it eventually came to rest, officials said.

According to investigators, the driver of the vehicle, a 30-year-old man from Buffalo, was declared dead at the site. His identity remains undisclosed.

The Scott County Sheriff’s Office Collision Investigation Team is still looking into the collision. First responders from the Buffalo Police Department, Blue Grass Fire Department, Scott County GIS, Scott Emergency Communications Center, sheriff’s office, and Buffalo Fire Department all helped with the event.
