Lake County Library Introduces Bookmobile for Lakeport Residents

The Lake County Library Bookmobile has rolled into Lakeport, California. It’s getting ready to offer services all around the county starting early next year.

Brandon Mach, a Library Assistant, is in charge of making this Bookmobile magic happen. The vehicle was bought from Farber Specialty Vehicle in Ohio, a company that’s been crafting specialized vehicles like health labs, STEM labs, and bookmobiles for 30 years. They were picked as the supplier through a special process by the County.

Some of the money to get this Bookmobile came from California State funds managed by the State Library, and the rest came from an American Rescue Plan Act grant thanks to the Lake County Board of Supervisors.
