Five Victims In Serious Condition After Shooting In Galveston County, Police Say

Chief of the Galveston Police Department Doug Balli said that five individuals were hurt in a shooting that happened at the Lone Star Rally in Galveston, Texas, on Saturday night.

According to Lone Star Rally, it’s Texas’ biggest motorcycle rally. A number of the incident’s victims were in critical or serious condition.

Just before 11 p.m., police were called to a shooting in the commercial district of The Strand between 21st and 22nd Street. Five individuals were hurt when shots were fired at the location.

They have not been identified; they were brought to a nearby hospital. Authorities have taken into custody and are questioning a person of interest.

“I heard gunshots from the back room, and when I went to the window, I saw people were scattering. Something was going on,” Joe Flores said, who witnessed the situation.

Paul claimed to have witnessed the shooting and to have been with his buddies when it started.

“There were gunshots of course you know our family members, I was trying to make sure they were OK right away. The Galveston Police Department told us to evacuate,” he said.

According to Chief Balli, there has never been violence at the Lone Star Rally before, and this was an isolated incident.
