Fatal Head-On Crash In Lake County, 72-Year-Old Victim Identified!
On Tuesday morning in Lake County, a 72-year-old man was killed in a head-on collision.
According to the Lake County Sheriff’s Office, the incident occurred at 9:15 a.m. near the intersection of Russell Road and Park Lane.
According to investigating officers, a Chevrolet was struck head-on by a pickup truck whose driver had allegedly crossed the middle line.

The 72-year-old Indian Creek man driving the Chevrolet was pronounced deceased at the site. The truck driver, aged 46, also sustained critical injuries and was brought to Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville for treatment.
The cause of the crash is currently being looked into.
