12 Year Old Girl Accused of Murdering a 37-Year-Old Woman
The 37-year-old woman was allegedly fatally stabbed by a 12-year-old girl, who has been taken into custody and charged with murder, according to authorities.
Early on Thursday morning, Victoria Police reported that a “37-year-old woman was located deceased shortly before 2 a.m.” at an address on Barkly Street.
Authorities suspect that the woman was fatally stabbed to death by a 12-year-old girl. The incident occurred in an inner-city suburb of Melbourne, Australia.

Victoria Police did not say if the woman who died and the suspect knew each other, and they have not yet said who they are.
Although authorities have verified that the 12-year-old girl has been charged with one count of murder, no motivation for the incident is now known.
“She has been remanded to appear before a children’s court at a later date,” stated Victoria Police Media Unit spokesperson Katherine McLeod.
The inquiry is still going strong as of right now.
