Schools In West Michigan Will Be Closed On Friday, November 18

Western Michigan Several West Michigan and Southwest Michigan school districts have announced closures for Friday, November 18, as a winter storm warning anticipates to last into early Saturday.

Grand Rapids Public Schools, Kalamazoo Public Schools, and Rockford Public Schools are a few of the biggest in the region.

Late Thursday, lake-effect snow bands caused West Michigan’s roads to become icy.

Allegan Public Schools, Caledonia Community Schools, Grandville Public Schools, and Galesburg-Augusta Community Schools. And Fennville Public Schools, Godwin Heights Public Schools, Hastings Area Schools, Rockford Public Schools, Parchment School District, South Haven Public Schools, and Zeeland Public Schools. They are among the schools to announce closures as of approximately 10 p.m. on Thursday, according to WZZM.

At 9:20 p.m. on Thursday, National Weather Service meteorologists predicted that the region could receive an additional five to seven inches of snow before Saturday morning.
