Man Faces Murder And Arson Charges In Pendleton County Tragedy!
According to the West Virginia State Police, a 35-year-old man was taken into custody during an investigation into murder and arson in the state.
West Virginia State Police (WVSP) was alerted about a structure fire and possible death on Grey Goose Lane in Sugar Grove on October 23 by Pendleton County 911, according to State Police.
According to the WVSP, a body was discovered close to the structure, and the building was completely engulfed in flames when the units arrived.
The WVSP subsequently identified the fatality as 61-year-old Raymond Auville of Riverton, West Virginia, who they said was a handyman working at the home. The victim reportedly had burns all over his body.
According to the WVSP, on October 24, arrest warrants for Zachary Mongold, 35, of Petersburg, were issued in connection with allegations of first-degree murder and arson.

According to the West Virginia State Police, Mongold was apprehended and located in Burlington, West Virginia. He was subsequently sent to Potomac Highlands Regional Jail for detention until his arraignment. According to WVSP, the inquiry is still ongoing.
