Among Independents, Biden’s Approval Rating Drops to 24%

A new Civiqs survey shows that only 24% of Independents approve of President Joe Biden’s job performance, a new low for his support ratings among important swing voters.

According to a national survey conducted on January 4th, 56% of those registered to vote to disapprove of how Vice President Biden is conducting his duties as president. Moreover, 10 percent of voters disapprove of Biden’s performance since he was sworn in on Inauguration Day.

Only three states (Hawaii, Massachusetts, and Vermont) think well of President performance out of the 50. All four age groups, 18-34, 35-49, 50-64, and 65-plus, had a lower approval rating for Biden. Biden’s approval rating among 18- to 34-year-olds is the lowest at 27%, with 58% disapproving.

According to the Civiqs survey, Republicans disapprove of the 46th president’s job performance by 96%, while Democrats approve by 73 %.

Black voters approved of Biden at a rate of 63%, but Hispanics appear to be narrowing the approval-disapproval gap. The approval rating among Hispanic voters is 48%, while the disapproval rating is 42%.

The Wall Street Journal conducted a poll and showed that Republicans had made significant gains among Hispanic voters. One survey conducted in December found that 37% of Hispanic voters indicated they would vote for Republican candidates in the 2022 Congressional midterm elections and 37% said they would vote for Democratic candidates.

According to Democratic pollster John Anzalonea, whose firm produced The Wall Street Journal Poll, “the Hispanic vote is something that we’re going to have to battle for.”
