Over a week after he disappeared on his college graduation day, a Texas A&M University student has been found dead, police say.
According to ABC News, Tanner Hoang, 22, was found dead in Austin on Saturday. Hoang was last seen on the morning of December 16 at his College Station, Texas, apartment building, The Trails at Wolf Pen.
When the mechanical engineering student didn’t attend a family celebration lunch before his graduation, his family reported him missing. Authorities in Austin told KVUE that a body was discovered near Pennybacker Bridge on Saturday, but they could not say whether it belonged to Hoang.
The silver 2009 Lexus belonging to Hoang was discovered on Friday close to the Colorado River and Highway 360, where the Pennybacker Bridge Overlook Trail is located. There was a Shell station near Caldwell, and it appeared that he was heading west on Highway 21 after filling up.
