A shooting occurred Monday evening outside of a hotel close to Gaylord Opryland, resulting in the death of a woman.
A shooting was reported to have taken place in the parking lot of the Ramada Inn, which is situated in the 2400 block of Music Valley Drive. Officers found a woman who had been shot to death when they arrived at the scene of the incident.
Before the shooting, the woman, whom the police have not yet recognized, reportedly talked with the person who is suspected of carrying out the shooting, who then drove away in a vehicle. Since then, investigators have established several promising leads in the case.
There are currently no suspects in custody.
