Two Women Killed, Two More Injured in Wrong-way Crash on US 287

According to police, a wrong-way crash in Midlothian resulted in the deaths of two ladies and critically injured two more.

Midlothian police responded to a wrong-way crash at midnight on Saturday in the 3800 block of US Highway 287. The report states that in the southbound lanes of 287, a car heading north from Waxahachie collided head-on with another car.

The report says that when police arrived, they saw that one of the cars was on fire and put it out.

Police in Midlothian said that the wrong-way driver and one passenger, Lakeshia Savala, 38, and Joanna Cain, 38, were declared dead at the scene.

MPD said that the driver of the other car and a passenger in the car going the wrong way were taken to the hospital by air ambulance and are in serious condition.
