Tragic Loss on I-95: 17-Year-Old Driver and Three Others Killed in Johnston County Crash

A 17-year-old driver and three passengers were killed after a high-speed chase on Interstate 95 in Johnston County.

The incident occurred around 2:39 a.m., when a North Carolina State Highway Patrol trooper noticed a Kia Soul travelling at 104 mph.

Crash Details

Attempting to catch up with the speeding vehicle, the trooper lost sight of the Kia Soul. The situation took a heartbreaking turn when the car, using exit ramp 93, veered off the road, crashing into several trees.

The driver and front-seat passenger were trapped inside, while the back-seat passengers were ejected from the vehicle. Sadly, all four occupants did not survive the impact.

Victim Identification

The driver has been identified as 17-year-old Alan Lee Lockamy from Archer Lodge, while the identities of the three other victims remain undisclosed.

The tragic incident led to the closure of exit ramp 93, impacting the morning commute as authorities worked to understand the circumstances surrounding the crash.
