Tragic Fire Destroys Home in Roanoke County, Community in Shock

According to Roanoke County Fire and Rescue, a house that was located in the Clearbrook neighborhood in Roanoke County has been completely destroyed by fire on Tuesday evening.

Authorities stated that they arrived at the 8400 block of Holly Tree Drive at 6:37 p.m. in response to a report of a fire that had occurred in a structure.

Based on the information provided by Roanoke County personnel, when Station 7 arrived at the scene, they discovered a property that was on fire and had two stories.

It has been informed to us that the region is extremely rural and does not possess fire hydrants; hence, a number of tanker trucks from Roanoke and Franklin counties have arrived to supply water.

In a span of one hour and ten minutes, the authorities said that they were successful in bringing the fire under control.

According to Roanoke County Fire & Rescue, the roof of the house collapsed, and the house has been ruled a total loss.
