Social Security: When to expect the $1,657 check

Based on your record of earnings, Social Security pays retirement, disability, dependent, and survivors benefits.

All of these benefits are covered by the Old Age, Survivors, and Disability Insurance Program (OASDI), which is the official name of Social Security.

Social Security recipients get their checks every month, and this year their COLA has increased by 5.9%.

According to Fingerlakes, as of this year, average checks are valued at $1,657 due to the COLA.

As of March 9, 2022, the next check round will be issued.

Who Get the Checks, and When in March?

On March 9th, the second Wednesday of the month, the first checks will be issued.

Those born between January 1 and October 10 will receive their checks tomorrow.

You can expect your check on March 16 if your birthday is between March 11 and 20.
