Police on the Hunt for Suspected Motel Killer in Hall County
Gainesville police are now investigating a fatal shooting at the Motel 6 on Monroe Drive, which occurred on Friday afternoon.
Officers responded to a complaint about 2:30 p.m. and found a subject with a gunshot wound to the chest.
Despite being brought to a neighbouring hospital, the individual died from their injuries.

Suspect Identified – Corey Maurice Rucker at the Center of Investigation
During the ongoing investigation, law enforcement identified Corey Maurice Rucker, a resident of Gainesville, as a suspect in connection with the victim’s tragic death.
Rucker is known to the victim, adding a layer of complexity to the case.
