One Man Hospitalized After Shooting in Pocatello Underpass!
According to authorities, a man was shot in the face during a fight near the Center Street underpass in Pocatello’s downtown on Monday night and is now in the hospital.
It was reported at about 6:30 p.m. that two guys were fighting, according to the police. During the fight, one of the males used a pistol to shoot the other man in the face, according to the police.
After the event, the injured man was sent to Portneuf Medical Center. According to the police, the early signs point to his likely survival. Due to the incident, police had to close the Center Street underpass temporarily.
The inquiry is still ongoing, according to the police, but no one has been taken into custody as a result of the incident. The two males implicated have not disclosed their names.

“Pocatello police officers and detectives are currently on scene conducting an investigation. There is no danger to the public and more information will be released at a later time,” Pocatello police stated in a news release sent late Monday night.
