Driver Airlifted To Safety Following Azle Area Collision!

On November 1, 2023, at approximately 7:20 a.m., Tarrant County Sheriff’s Deputies and Briar-Reno VFD responded to the 7400 block of Portwood Rd in Azle on a call about a pickup truck that hit a mailbox.

Upon reaching the site, deputies discovered that the vehicle had overturned due to the impact, and a man remained seated in the driver’s seat.

The driver’s condition remained uncertain when he was flown to a nearby hospital by a CareFlite chopper. It’s possible that the crash happened hours before it was noticed.

The goal of Tarrant County Crash Investigators is to identify the crash’s cause.
