A Known Offender Shoots A Woman Inside Her Home in South Side as per Chicago Police

A 38-year-old lady was shot in her South Side Chicago home and is currently in critical condition at a local hospital.

The female victim was inside a house in the 12000 block of South Yale Avenue at 7:19 p.m. when an offender known to police walked up to her, pulled out a handgun, and opened fire, according to police. According to the police, the victim was shot in the back and rushed to Roseland Hospital.

There were no detentions reported. Consequences are being weighed as the inquiry continues.
