Tragic Shootout in Palm Bay, Florida Two Dead, Two Officers Injured

During a shooting on Sunday in Palm Bay, Florida, two people were killed and two police officers were injured.

During a Sunday news conference, Palm Bay Police Chief Mariano Augello disclosed that the officers exchanged gunfire with the armed man.

Suspect Flees After Shooting

After the exchange of gunfire, the armed suspect fled the scene, shooting at the officers.

Chief Augello praised the cops, saying, “Our officers did what they were trained to do. And that’s to neutralize and stop a threat to our community.”

Fatal Outcome

Unfortunately, the guy died after confronting the authorities “with lethal force,” according to CNN.

According to Chief Augello, “As a result of the (suspect’s) direct actions, another victim that I will not name at the moment is also deceased.”

Injured Officers to Survive

Despite the intensity of the shootout, the two officers who were shot are expected to survive and are currently receiving treatment at a local hospital.
