Enhanced Safety Measures and Accessibility
In response to previous concerns with crowding, the fair introduced a policy requiring youth 17 and under to be accompanied by an adult guardian after 7 p.m. This approach has proven effective since its introduction in 2023.
In addition, the fair has implemented a new bag policy to improve security, mirroring steps found at other significant events such as SunFest and PGA Tour events.
Bags larger than six inches by nine inches must be clear, with the exception of diaper bags and medication, which will be searched separately.
The South Florida Fair’s CFO, Matt Wallsmith, underlines the importance of these steps in assuring a safe and pleasurable experience for all attendees.
The fair will run through Sunday, Jan. 28.
