19-Year-Old Driver In Custody After Fatal Hit-And-Run In Fond Du Lac County!

Authorities in Fond du Lac County decided that the deadly collision that occurred early on Sunday morning, dragging a lady three miles down the highway, was a hit-and-run, and they have apprehended the driver they suspect to be at fault.

A 19-year-old West Bend man was identified as the motorist who struck a 19-year-old Hartford woman on Highway 45 in Auburn after the woman was ejected from a car in an earlier collision, according to a release from the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office.

The 19-year-old guy reportedly left the scene in his car before help could arrive, dragging the woman three kilometers down the highway, according to officials.

The 19-year-old driver and the passengers in the first crash—a 17-year-old male from Iron Ridge, a 19-year-old woman from Hartford, a 16-year-old woman from Theresa, a 21-year-old woman from Iron Ridge, and a 17-year-old Milwaukee resident—knew one another and were traveling together.

After allegedly being charged with hit-and-run death, the driver was reportedly captured and brought to the Fond du Lac County Jail, where he is currently awaiting his initial court appearance.

According to the authorities, an investigation into the incident is still underway, and no new details are anticipated until a criminal complaint is submitted to the court.
