Jesse Jackson, the founder & active President of Chicago-based civil rights organization Rainbow PUSH & his wife have been hospitalized following the two getting tested positive for COVID-19.
A statement released by Rainbow PUSH organization revealed Jackson, 79, and his wife Jacqueline, 77, were admitted to Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago.
The statement further added, “There are no further updates at this time. We will provide updates as they become available. If anyone who was in the vicinity of the couple in recent days should follow public health guidance.”

Before getting hospitalized because of COVID-19, Jackson was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease in 2017.
Jackson had been active since the turmoil of the civil rights movement in the 60’s era. He has spent decades fighting for the rights of Black Americans or minorities in the United States.
In the years 1984 & 1988, he even ran for the Democratic presidential nomination to attract Black voters and white liberals in mounting unexpectedly strong campaigns.
However, both the time, he falls short of becoming the first Black major-party White House nominee.
