Rotting Corpse Covered in Blankets Discovered as an Apartment Complex Set to Deliver Eviction Notices, HPD claim
On Monday, as apartment management was getting ready to send out an eviction notice, they found a dead body in a coat closet that was rotting and wrapped in blankets.
The inquiry into the finding at the sizable Redford Apartments in the 1300 block of Redford Street, close to Edgebrook Drive and the Gulf Freeway, has been verified by Houston police.
Eyewitness News has learned that the police are officially calling the death suspicious because the body was badly broken down and there were no signs of how the person died.

The corpse was discovered in one of the complex’s numerous abandoned units, according to police.
The finding in a coat closet at about 5:30 p.m. is thought to have been the result of squatters sleeping there. At 407 A, the apartment complex’s management was serving an eviction notice.

They noted a powerful smell and the abundance of insects as they got closer to the entrance. They thus turned away and dialled 911 ” According to HPD Homicide Det.
Lance Osborn, “The same observations were made each time the Clear Lake patrol showed up there. Due to the urgent situation, they entered the apartment and were quite successful in finding the murdered victim within one of the closets.”

The sex and ethnicity of the corpse were not immediately clear since it was covered in blankets and had begun to decompose, according to Osborn.
An autopsy will show how and why someone died, as well as give information about who they are.
