The body of a man who had been hit by a Red Line train in the North Side neighbourhood of Edgewater was discovered on Friday at about 3:00 p.m.
An unknown-age man leapt in front of a train in the 1100 block of West Bryn Mawr Avenue at about 4:15 p.m. on Monday, according to the Chicago Police Department and the Chicago Transit Authority.

Chicago Fire Department spokesman Larry Merritt said the train driver was taken to Weiss Hospital for a mental health assessment.
About 4:30 p.m., the CTA announced that service would be temporarily halted on the Red and Purple Lines between the Howard and Belmont stations.
Roughly an hour later, both the Red Line and the Purple Express Line to the Loop remained closed.
