Police Discover a Pipe Bomb Behind a Grocery Store in Colorado Suburb

Authorities say that a live pipe bomb was found Tuesday behind a grocery store in a Denver suburb.

A possible explosive device was discovered behind a Safeway grocery store in Littleton, approximately 10 miles south of Denver, at 12:30 p.m. A contractor working in the store discovered the bomb, according to police.

According to police, responding officers secured the area and determined that the device was explosive.

The Bomb Squad of the Arapahoe County Sheriff was able to deactivate it, according to the Littleton Police Department. There is no threat, according to the police. There were no injuries reported.
