Oakland Police Investigate Fatal Shooting Near Eastmont Mall in Oakland
According to officials, a fatal shooting near the Eastmont Mall occurred late on Tuesday morning. Oakland police are looking into the shooting.
It was confirmed by Oakland police that the incident occurred shortly after 11:30 a.m. on the 6900 block of Bancroft Ave. The man, who had at least one gunshot wound, was discovered by responding authorities sitting inside a car.

After receiving medical attention from Oakland police and fire personnel, the victim was declared dead at the spot, despite their best attempts. The victim’s name is being kept secret until the victim’s next of kin are notified, according to the police.
