On October 29 at 11:52 p.m., many residents reported hearing gunshots, prompting Takoma Park police to dispatch an officer to the 400 block of 4th Avenue. Officers conducted a foot search of the area, looking for suspects, victims, and casings, but came up empty.
No one was harmed in the incident
At daybreak on October 30, police returned to the scene and discovered numerous shot casings, indicating a gun was fired. As a result, the shells were confiscated. In addition, one of the shots reportedly went through a neighbor’s house. This bullet piece was also seized.
On October 15, locals in the 6400 block of 4th Avenue between Eastern and Westmoreland also reported hearing gunshots. On October 15, around 5:00 p.m., police were called to the scene and impounded several expended shot casings from a vacant property.
