Arrest Made: Halifax County Coach Charged with Assaulting Student
On Thursday, the Halifax County Sheriff’s Office said that a school coach has been charged with assault in connection with an incident that occurred involving a kid.
In response to a report regarding an alleged assault that occurred at Southeast Collegiate Preparatory Academy, which is located at 16683 Highway 125 East in Halifax, the sheriff’s office stated that it initiated an investigation on December 20.

One of the students was allegedly subjected to physical assault by a coach a few days prior, according to the tip.
Paul Anthony Nicholson Jr., 37, of Enfield, was taken into custody on Thursday following the conclusion of an investigation.
Allegations of felony assault by strangulation were brought against him.

After being brought before a magistrate, Nicholson was sentenced to a bond of $2,500 and given a court date on January 3.
There was no immediate release of any other information.
