On Tuesday, Governor Greg Abbott visited Edinburg to greet and feed Texas Department of Public Safety troopers and Texas National Guard personnel spending Thanksgiving along the border as part of Operation Lone Star.
Abbott expressed gratitude for their “unwavering commitment and selfless service”
The governor picked up tamales for troopers and National Guard members from Delia’s before visiting them at the DPS hanger in Edinburg. Governor Abbott expressed gratitude to the DPS troopers and Texas National Guard personnel who “work around the clock to safeguard our southern border and keep Texans safe” with their “unwavering commitment and selfless service.”
As the leader of the Lone Star state, Governor Greg Abbott said, “I ask all Texans to join me in thanking the committed men and women stationed along the border for Operation Lone Star as they continue serving our state and safeguarding the safety of our communities this Thanksgiving.”
