On Monday, fire crews in Monrovia responded to a two-alarm blaze at a commercial building. A building on the 800 block of E. Huntington Dr. in Monrovia caught fire.
Sky 5 footage revealed intense smoke and flames coming from the building before the fire was brought under control by the firefighters.
The cause of the incident is under investigation
Assisting the Monrovia Fire Department was the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
Sgt. Harvey of the Monrovia Police Department told KTLA that an individual of interest was detained at around 6:30 p.m. in connection with the fire. However, the circumstances leading up to the incident are still unknown. Nobody has accused them of anything criminal yet.
Monrovia experienced a second-alarm pallet fire on Monday night, and an individual of interest was detained. According to the Los Angeles County Fire Department, the blaze broke out at around 5:20 p.m. behind a commercial building on Huntington Drive and Mountain Avenue, close to the Foothill (210) Freeway. While firefighters battled the blaze, residents were asked to stay out of Huntington Drive and Mountain Avenue intersection.
