Chicago Suburbs and Neighborhoods Make the List of the 50 Best Places to Live in the United States

You might not realize it but live in a particular western suburb or a specific northern Chicago neighborhood. You live in one of the best places to settle down, according to a new list.

According to a recent Money.com report. 50 cities in the United States have been named the Best Places to Live in the United States. Based on the methodology that considered economic opportunities, quality of life, diversity, and other factors.

Among the ten locations on the list are in the Midwest, with two in the Chicago area.
At No. 1 in Atlanta, Georgia, Money.com describes it as a “cultural behemoth” with professional sports teams. A world-class botanical garden, one of the country’s most prominent visual art museums, and more.

While none of the Chicago-area cities made the top five, one did: Rogers Park.

According to the report, “few places are as welcoming to different religions, creeds, or ethnicities as Rogers Park. An underdog neighborhood located in Chicago’s northeast corner.” “Residents frequently extol the neighborhood’s multiculturalism, citing it as the foundation of what makes Rogers Park such a special place.”

Tempe, Arizona is ranked second; Kirkland, Washington is ranked third; Raleigh, North Carolina is ranked fourth; Columbia, Maryland is ranked fifth; Somerville, Massachusetts is ranked seventh; Ann Arbor, Michigan is ranked eighth; Tampa, Florida is ranked ninth; and Jersey City, New Jersey is ranked tenth.
Naperville, Illinois, is the next midwestern city on the list, coming in at No. 16.

This is the city’s latest honor, according to the report. It is approximately 33 miles west of Chicago. “Naperville, Illinois named Niche’s best place to raise a family. Also one of AARP’s top ten towns for seniors.” According to the news source.

The city of Naperville, according to the report, “doubles down on families.” Claiming that it “offers some of the state’s best public schools, according to the Illinois State Report Card.”

Carmel, Indiana ranks No. 19, Chanhassen. Minnesota ranks No. 27. Overland Park, Kansas ranks No. 29. Kirkwood, Missouri ranks No. 36. Madison, Wisconsin ranks No. 40. Coralville, Iowa ranks No. 48, and Jeffersonville, Indiana ranks No. 49.
