Blustery and Cold Frost is predicted for Saturday morning and nice weather on Sunday through Saturday.

Tonight, West Tennessee can expect a few light showers and a low in the upper 30s. On Friday, expect highs to barely reach 50 degrees. On Sunday, there will be a nice acclimatization period.

Showers and storms will return next week when the calendar flips. We’ll break down your weekend for you hour by hour and have more on next week’s storm chances right here.

TONIGHT:

Westerly winds from Wednesday’s front are expected to keep temperatures below normal tonight. Lows on Thursday night will be in the upper 30s, with a few gusts of wind. In general, tonight’s weather will be cloudy.

FRIDAY:

On Friday, another front is expected to pass by, preventing temperatures from reaching or exceeding normal levels. Like the storms earlier in the week, strong or severe storms aren’t expected this time around either. As the front moves through, a few isolated rain showers are expected. Friday, the coldest day of the week, will see highs barely rise above 50 degrees.

The low to mid-30s are likely by the start of the weekend, making Friday night the coldest night of the week. Also on Friday, expect gusty conditions with winds gusting between 15 and 20 mph out of the northwest.

In time for the weekend, some dry and decent weather is expected, but it will start out chilly in the low 30s. Frost is expected to hit most of West Tennessee on Saturday morning, so be sure to protect your plants and other delicate vegetation. However, highs will only be in the mid to upper 50s on Saturday afternoon.

Sunday looks to be the prettier day, as it was the weekend before. Sunday morning lows will be in the upper 30s, and the highs will reach the 70s by the end of the day, according to forecasters.

On Saturday, winds will come out of the west, but they will turn south by Sunday. On Sunday afternoon, there is a good chance of a cloudless sky.

IN THE FUTURE:

Beginning early the following week, the Mid-South will be pummeled once more by a new storm system. There is a chance of rain and storms Monday night through Wednesday. It’s still too early to tell who this system will affect the most, but rain showers are on the horizon for the vast majority of us.

Both Tuesday and Wednesday are expected to see high temperatures in the 70s. Early Monday and Tuesday morning temperatures are expected to be in the mid-to-upper 50s, with winds out of the south.

Highs will be in the 70s again, as will the humidity, as showers and storms are likely to continue into Wednesday day. Later on Wednesday, a cold front will move through, lowering the temperature into Thursday morning. By the time the sun rises on Thursday, any remaining rain from the mid-week cold front will have dissipated.

THROUGHOUT, I FELT:

Here in West Tennessee, it’s officially spring, but we could still get another freeze in the next week or so. Our last freeze usually occurs around the first week of April. As the season progresses into spring, the likelihood of severe weather will increase.

As a result, you need to keep an eye on the weather and pay attention to the forecasts. In the WBBJ 7 Storm Team Weather Center, we’ve always got you covered.
