Arrest in Missing Florida Mom Case: Husband Nabbed in Homeland Security Investigation

United States Marshals have reportedly taken into custody the husband of a mother who has been reported missing from Florida. This is connected with a case that is being investigated by Homeland Security.

WeSH reported that Brett Baldwin, the spouse of Nicole Baldwin, who has been missing since the beginning of November, was taken into custody on Thursday in Marion County. Nicole Baldwin has been missing since those early days.

It has been reported by the site that a federal detention has been placed on the individual for “possession of obscene material.” There is no connection between the arrest and the disappearance of his wife.

In an interview with WESH, the family confirmed the arrest and stated that the residence was broken into on Thursday morning.

“I just know when this video gets posted, it’s going to be some other comment about ‘Look, we were saying her dad had something to do with it,” Alisha Baldwin said. “That’s really why I was hesitant about this, is people are just cruel on top of all of this.”

An investigation is still ongoing, according to a representative for the Department of Homeland Security, who declined to comment to WESH.
