On his way to work Saturday, a Houston firefighter was seriously injured in a head-on collision in Montgomery County.
Around 5:30 a.m., the firefighter was driving south. According to the Montgomery County Police Reporter, a northbound GMC pickup truck crossed the median near Lost Lake Drive and collided with his Ford F-150.

According to reports, the firefighter broke several bones and was hospitalized in critical condition. He’s expected to live.
The driver of the GMC pickup was taken to the hospital in critical condition and is expected to survive.
In a tweet on Sunday, Houston Fire Chief Samuel Pea said, “Prayers and positive energy for the @HoustonFire firefighter and everyone who has been injured as they embark on a long road to recovery.”
Pea did not respond to a request for more information.
