Woman Injured After Three Gunmen Open Fire on Her Waukegan Home
Three people with guns all started the fire on the Waukegan home early Saturday morning, shooting a woman who was inside.
Around 3:38 a.m. Saturday, the Waukegan Fire Department and Waukegan Police Department were called to the 1300 block of Hickory Street in Waukegan because the police heard shots.
A female victim was shot while inside a home after three gunmen all opened fire on the residence early Saturday morning:
Someone called 911 and said they heard several gunshots and saw a woman hit by gunfire. According to the police report, when they got there, they saw that the woman had been shot in the leg.
Before the Waukegan Fire Department paramedics came, the officers put on a tourniquet. The report said that several shell casings were found outside the house, which had been hit by several shots.

The person was taken to Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville by paramedics. Their injuries were not thought to be life-threatening. The story said that investigators learned that the suspect’s pickup truck drove around the area before the shooting.
Three suspects opened fire on the house from the north side of Grove Avenue, east of Hickory Street, and then ran away. The Waukegan Police Department is still looking into what happened.
