Nationwide Warnings and Unusual Freeze Alerts
Extreme winter weather warnings have been issued across the country, with forecasts predicting cold temperatures as far south as Missouri and Kansas, as well as temperatures below freezing near the Gulf Coast.
Unusually, a freeze advisory was issued for most of the South, which is used to warmer winters.
Southern States Facing Tough Times in Unusual Weather
Southern states, unused to such intense weather, are dealing with the consequence.
Tennessee reports at least 14 weather-related deaths, with frozen pipes causing bursts and water pressure drops in Memphis.

The National Weather Service predicts a shift in weather patterns, with temperatures rising in the centre of the country on Sunday.
The arctic blast is expected to proceed eastward and reach the mid-Atlantic region by Monday, indicating a potential shift in the current meteorological concerns.
