Wake County High-Speed Chase Leads to Arrest of Suspect in Child S*x Offense Case
A man facing 28 charges related to illegal s*xual acts with a child was arrested late Tuesday afternoon after he led police on a car chase that ended in a crash.
During the chase, a Wake County deputy got minor injuries, and two police cars were damaged. This happened just after 5 p.m. near Wendell, at Riley Hill Road and Winchester Drive.

The deputies tried to stop the man’s car on Old Bunch Road, but he sped away, leading to a chase. Eventually, his SUV crashed into a ditch, and he tried to escape on foot but was caught at 5:40 p.m. near Woodie Drive.
The suspect is 41-year-old Rayshon Nelson Treadwell from Henderson. The Wake County Sheriff’s Office mentioned that these charges against Treadwell were actually from the Henderson Police Department, not Wake County.

Officials said there’s no ongoing danger to the public. The case is still being looked into, and Treadwell might face more charges.
