Three-Vehicle Collision on Highway 83 Leaves Five Injured!
A three-vehicle crash on Highway 83 this morning resulted in five injuries. The accident occurred in Zapata County close to mile marker 746 about five in the morning, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.
According to preliminary accounts, the driver of a white Ford pickup truck lost control while driving south, entered the northbound lane, and collided with a red Ford pickup truck.
Shortly after the collision, the white Ford pickup truck was hit by a southbound gray Toyota SUV.
A man in his 30s was driving the White Ranger car, an elderly couple drove the SUV, and two men in their 40s were operating the Red Welder.

While the passenger in the red welder truck declined to be transferred and the other people were sent to local hospitals, the driver of the white Ford pickup was taken to a San Antonio hospital in severe condition due to head injuries.
