COLUMBUS – On Wednesday morning, a gun was discovered at Mansueto High School on the Southwest Side.
Around 11:20 a.m., officers responded to a report at the school, 2911 West 47th Street, of a weapon. According to Chicago police.
During the search, the school was placed on lockdown, according to the police. Soon after, police discovered that A student was taken to a medical facility to treat his mental health and a gun assessment.
There were no reported injuries.
