CHICAGO – A construction worker was shot during a robbery Thursday afternoon in West Englewood, according to police.
According to Chicago police, the 42-year-old victim was working in the 5700 block of South Paulina at 12:26 p.m. when the suspect approached him and demanded his personal property.
Police said that when the victim refused, the shooter opened fire, injuring him in the right thigh and left arm. After shots were fired, the suspect fled the scene.

The victim was taken to the University of Chicago Hospital, where his condition is said to have gotten better.
No one is currently detained, and Area Detectives are conducting an investigation.
