Social Security Payment Schedule: The Important Dates to Remember in 2022

SSA has released its schedule for Social Security payments in 2022, with these payments expected to be 5.9 percent higher in 2022 than they were in 2021, after adjusting for inflation.

This is the largest cost-of-living-adjustment increase in just under 40 years, according to the Social Security Administration.

As long as your birthday falls between the 1st and 10th of a given month, you may expect to receive your Social Security benefits on the second Wednesday of the month.

In the case of a birth date occurring between the 11th and the 20th of each month, you can anticipate receiving your benefits on the third Wednesday of each month.

For those whose birthday falls between the 21st and the 30th of a given month, their benefits will be paid out to them on the fourth Wednesday of each month.

Payments for January 2022:

• The second Wednesday of the month, on January 12.
• The third Wednesday of the month is January 19th.
• The fourth Wednesday of the month is January 26.

Payments for February 2022:

• The second Wednesday of the month, on February 9.
• The third Wednesday of the month is February 16th.
•  The fourth Wednesday of the month, February 23.

Payments for March 2022:

• The second Wednesday of the month, on March 9.
• The third Wednesday of the month is March 16th.
• The fourth Wednesday of the month is March 23.

Payments for April 2022:

• The second Wednesday of the month, April 13.
• The third Wednesday of the month, April 20.
• The fourth Wednesday of April is April 27.

Payments for May 2022:

• The second Wednesday of the month, on May 11.
• The third Wednesday of the month, May 18th.
• The fourth Wednesday of the month is May 25.

Payments for June 2022:

• The second Wednesday of the month, on June 8.
• The third Wednesday of June is June 15th.
• The fourth Wednesday of the month, June 22nd.

Payments for July 2022:

• The second Wednesday, July 13.
• The third Wednesday of the month, 20th.
• The fourth Wednesday of the month is July 27.

Payments for August 2022:

• The second Wednesday, August 10th
• The third Wednesday of August is August 17.
• Wednesday, August 24, is the fourth Wednesday of the month.

Payments for September 2022:

• The second Wednesday of the month, on September 14.
• The third Wednesday of September is September 21.
• The fourth Wednesday of September is September 28.

Payments for October 2022:

• Wednesday, October 19, is the third Wednesday of the month.
