A woman was shot and killed in a drive-by near the Vet’s Park area on Friday night, and a 14-year-old child was injured and sent to the hospital. A 41-year-old lady and a 14-year-old child were shot and killed on August 24 at 8:24 p.m.
When a black SUV drew up to them in an empty lot on the 2300 block of East 100th Street and began firing shots, as reported by the police. The victim was shot in the hip and pronounced dead at the University of Chicago Medical Center. The 14-year-old youngster has been shot in the shoulder and is currently being treated at Comer Children’s Hospital.
At this time, law enforcement has no suspects in custody.
