Angela Chao, CEO of the Foremost Group, was found dead in Central Texas more than a month ago. The police have now finished their investigation into her death.

After Chao’s body was found in a pond on a private land in Blanco County, it was said that her death was connected to a criminal probe.

A 15-page incident report showed that Chao died when she accidentally backed her Tesla Model X SUV into a pond on private land in Blanco County. Senior Reporter Tony Plohetski also said that Chao had 0.23 percent alcohol in her blood when she drowned by mistake.

Blanco County officials refused to give basic information or records about the death, even though they were asked to do so under the Texas Public Information Act.

Chao, who was married to Kentucky Sen. Mitch McConnell, was found to have died “from being under the water” after emergency services tried to help. Chao lived in Austin and worked as CEO of the shipping company Foremost Group, which is based in New York City, among other places. The founder of Breyer Capital and a small owner of the Boston Celtics is her husband whose name is James.

The founder of the Foremost Group was Chao’s father, Dr. James S.C. Chao; Elaine Chao, her sister, was married to McConnell and used to work as the secretary of transportation.
