Salt Lake City Woman Tragically Killed In Hit-And-Run!
On Friday night in Salt Lake City, a pedestrian was ki!!ed in a hit-and-run accident, according to authorities.
The pedestrian was walking near the intersection at South Redwood Road at the I-80 overpass in the area of 200 South just before 8:30 p.m. Friday when she was hit by a car, Salt Lake City police said.
When police arrived, they discovered the woman deceased in a northbound lane. By late Friday, police had not yet established who the woman was.
The woman was hit as she crossed Redwood Road, according to witnesses, and the car that hit her continued north.
While police investigated, Redwood Road in the northbound direction was shut down between 400 South and North Temple.

Police late Friday were trying to determine what type of car was involved in the crash as they attempted to find the driver. Police said there may be significant damage to the car from the crash, and they are urging anyone with information to call 911 “immediately.”
