Los Angeles Welcomes a Blockbuster-Themed Speakeasy this Winter

For those who miss the now-defunct but always-loved Blockbuster chain, don’t worry; at the end of November, The Blockbuster Speakeasy will open its doors in Los Angeles, bringing with it the chance to relive fond memories. The temporary Melrose Avenue restaurant and bar will only be open for a limited time.

Please Rewind Truffle Fries, and Late Fee Risotto Parmesan Cheese Balls will be among the offerings at this bar and restaurant with a VHS theme. Starting on the 10th of December, brunch will be offered. And the much-missed Blockbuster card will return, albeit in the form of an alcohol voucher.

Seating is first come, first serve

The producers of The Golden Girls Kitchen LA and Saved by the Max are also responsible for The Blockbuster Speakeasy. Admission for the general public is $45 and features two alcoholic beverages. A brunch ticket is $55, which gets you one entrée and one drink. You’ll have to wait for a seat if you want one. At 7174 Melrose Avenue is where you’ll find the Blockbuster Speakeasy.
