I-45 Southbound Tragedy: Freeway Closure Lasts 4 Hours!!
A terrible accident happened early on Friday morning on the I-45 Gulf Freeway close to downtown Houston, causing major delays in local traffic. The Houston Police Department reports that a man was killed when he was hit by a car as he crossed the interstate near Memorial Drive.

A black Ford F-150 was the suspected offending vehicle. After the collision, the Ford driver stayed at the scene to help the police. The motorist tested negative for alcohol and other drug use after further interrogation by officials.
